It’s better to do less more often than more less often
You’ll
get more out of your riding if you ride consistently, squeezing
in an hour here and there rather than cramming it all in on a Saturday
morning and slacking the rest of the week.
- It’s all about intensity
Go out once
or twice a week and ride short spurts as fast as your screaming
muscle fibers will let you, and jam up a hill again and again. It’ll
hurt, but it’ll make you faster.
- 90% is faster than 110%
If you are
out there hammering in the red, chances are your form and techniques
are suffering. Your pedal stroke is probably sloppy, and your lines
are all over the trail. Slow down enough to be in control, and you’ll
ride smoother and faster.
